Jiang Zhenghong, born in Zhejiang Province, China in 1936, stands as a prominent figure in contemporary Chinese painting and printmaking. His artistic journey began with formal training at Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1960, where he honed his skills under the mentorship of esteemed masters like Li Hua, Li Keran, Ye Shaoyu, Li Kuchen, Guyuan, Huang Yongyu, and Zhang Ding—influences that profoundly shaped his stylistic approach. These formative years instilled a deep appreciation for traditional Chinese art principles while simultaneously fostering an openness to exploring modern artistic concepts.- Early Influences: Li Hua’s emphasis on meticulous observation and Ye Shaoyu's dedication to capturing the essence of Shanshui (mountain landscape) aesthetics served as crucial cornerstones in Zhenghong’s artistic development.
- Academic Pursuit: Continuing his education at Central University for Nationalities, Tsinghua University, and the Academy of Fine Arts solidified his understanding of art history and broadened his creative horizons.
