Early Life and Family Mahonri Mackintosh Young was born on August 9, 1877, in Salt Lake City, Utah Territory. He was the eldest child of Mahonri Moriancumer Young, owner of Deseret Woolen Mill inherited from his father Brigham Young, and Agnes Mackintosh.
