roni horn
roni horn is an american visual artist and writer, born in new york city in 1955. she is the granddaughter of eastern european immigrants. horn has been intimately involved with the singular geography, geology, climate and culture of iceland, having traveled there frequently since her first encounter with the island as a young arts graduate visiting on a fellowship from yale. her work often explores concepts of transience and viewers’ interactions, and she has made significant contributions to the field of conceptual art in the 1980s and 1990s.
