bedri baykam is a turkish artist born in ankara in 1957. he is known for his mixed media works. he is the son of the turkish physician and politician suphi baykam and mutahhar baykam, an engineer in architecture. baykam claims to have started painting at the age of two and to have had exhibitions since the age of six in several cities around the world. he is considered one of the most internationally recognized turkish artists and intellectuals.
