Southern Plains Indian Museum (A.2022.01.01)This mural depicts Arapaho warriors stealing horses from Ute warriors.The mural was painted by Allan Houser specifically for the Southern Plains Indian Museum. It was commissioned in 1949. It is located behind the reception desk, facing the entrance vestibule for visitors to see when they enter the museum.
