      Spirit is a work by the Canadian artist David Altmejd (Montreal, Canada, 1974). Altmejd mixes different sensations, abandoning the aesthetic precepts that we know and share in the western artistic narrative. He reinterprets the classic bust by introducing 3D printing and technology to create a crystallised human between life and death. A renewed human being in whose apparent decomposition a new way of living is revealed. Materials such as hair, mirrors and glass are used in unexpected ways and to grotesquely seductive effect. In his works, mirrors multiply space and accumulated details offer glimpses of infinity.
