Early Life & Education
Born in Luxor, Egypt, Awad embarked on his artistic journey at South Valley University’s Faculty of Fine Arts, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2004. Recognizing the importance of formal training, he pursued postgraduate studies at Helwan University's College of Fine Arts, culminating in a Master of Arts in 2012 and subsequently obtaining a PhD from SVU in 2019.

Awad’s artistic breakthrough arrived during the tumultuous period of Egypt’s Arab Spring uprising. Situated on Mohamed Mahmoud Street, near Tahrir Square—the epicenter of the revolution—his murals became a visceral chronicle of the events unfolding before his eyes.
