      Born in Sydney in 1953 and raised amidst the quiet, storied landscapes of Beecroft, Richard Goodwin’s early life was a rich tapestry of discovery. The echoes of his grandfather’s explorations—the remnants of Aboriginal culture and cinematic fragments found within a dusty shed—planted the seeds of a lifelong fascination with the layers of history and identity. A pivotal encounter with the renowned architect Harry Seidler during his formative years ignited a profound passion for structural design, eventually leading him to the University of New South Wales.
