Born in the quiet landscapes of Cozad, Nebraska, in 1942, Daniel Christensen’s artistic journey began far from the frenetic energy of the New York avant-garde, yet his spirit was always destined for the center of the modern movement. As his career matured, Christensen moved beyond the constraints of minimalism into the lush, atmospheric realms of Lyrical Abstraction and Color Field painting.
