Sandra Backlund has distinguished itself as a hand knitting fashion designer. However, this was the first machine-knitted garment Backlund made in collaboration with a company in Italy, where the garments were sold during Paris Fashion Week 2009. The dress was an experiment to investigate the possibilities to retain the peculiar expression that characterizes Backlund
