Born Benjamin Rabinowicz in 1905 amidst the rich intellectual tapestry of Białystok, Poland, the artist known as Ben Benn carried a heritage that would forever inform his brushstrokes. The son of an architect and the grandson of a rabbi, his early life was steeped in a unique duality of structural precision and spiritual depth.
