Vincent Malò I (1602-1644): Bridging Mannerism and Baroque Brilliance

Vincent Malò I, born in Cambrai around 1602 or 1606, represents a crucial juncture in Flemish Baroque painting—a synthesis of artistic traditions that solidified his place among the luminaries of his era. His formative years unfolded under the watchful eye of Rubens and Teniers in Antwerp, immersing him within the vibrant crucible of artistic innovation that characterized the period.
