He continued to hone his craft, securing commissions that showcased his versatility, notably "Old Women in the Place Navone," Rome (1867), which found a home in the Musée du Luxembourg and exemplifies his ability to convey psychological depth alongside technical precision. In 1907 Robert-Fleury was honored with Commander of the Legion of Honor.
