Notably, Johannes Frederik Hulk Senior (1829–1911)—his brother—became equally devoted to painting, sharing Hulk’s passion for capturing the beauty and power of the sea. His sons Willem Frederik Hulk (b. 1852), Johannes Frederik Hulk Junior (1855–1913) and Abraham Hulk Junior (1876–1898) followed in their father's footsteps, establishing a remarkable artistic dynasty that continues to inspire admiration for its dedication to craft and vision.
