Cristoforo Roncalli (Il Pomarancio): A Master of Roman Mannerism

Cristoforo Roncalli, known universally as Il Pomarancio – meaning “the pomegranate” after his hometown – stands as a pivotal figure in the artistic landscape of 16th-century Rome.
