Exploring Symbolism Through Color & Form

Ochowiak's artistic process is deeply informed by Jungian psychology, recognizing the importance of unconscious symbolism in shaping human experience. She meticulously selects colors—primarily blues—to convey moods and emotions, mirroring the hues found in serene landscapes and reflecting her belief that color possesses inherent spiritual significance. Her brushstrokes are deliberately loose and expressive, allowing for spontaneity and capturing the fleeting beauty of natural phenomena. The spiral motif appears repeatedly throughout her oeuvre, symbolizing growth, transformation, and the cyclical nature of life—a visual representation of Jung’s concept of individuation.

• Color Palette: Ochowiak favors blues—ranging from deep indigo to pale turquoise—to evoke feelings of tranquility, contemplation, and spiritual harmony.
• Brushwork Technique: Loose brushstrokes create textured surfaces that convey movement and depth, mirroring the dynamism of natural environments.
• Spiral Motif: The spiral symbolizes growth, transformation, and the cyclical patterns inherent in existence—a visual embodiment of Jungian archetypes.
