Born in Cairo, Egypt, in 1929 into a family of metalworkers originally from Asyut, Upper Egypt, Adam Henein’s artistic journey began early. His father instilled in him a profound appreciation for craftsmanship and tradition—values that would profoundly shape his distinctive style. At the tender age of eight, he experienced an epiphany during a visit to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, sparking an enduring fascination with ancient Egyptian art and symbolism.
