Born in Prague, Czech Republic, Josef Wagner emerged from a distinguished artistic lineage. His professional life included designing housing and garden architecture, photography, and scenography, as well as serving as the head of the Exhibition Centre of the Union of Czechoslovak Visual Artists and a collaborator with the National Gallery in Prague.
