Born in Munich, Germany, Andreas Bleeker was the son of the sculptor Hermann Bleeker and the textile artist Hilde Bleeker-Kullmer. Throughout his career, Bleeker was an active member of the Munich Secession and the Professional Association of Visual Artists (BBK).
