His father, Robert Falcon Scott, was a renowned Antarctic explorer, and his mother, Eleanor Falconer Scott, possessed an unwavering passion for botany. However, Scott quickly rejected academic conventions, gravitating towards Impressionism—a movement championed by Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, and Camille Pissarro.
