Born in Ulchin, South Korea, her artistic lineage was one of profound creative strength, as she was the eldest daughter of the renowned abstractionist Yoo Young-kuk. In the late 1980s, alongside her sister Yoo Cha-ya, she established Goeun Jewelry, a workshop where her designs—often inspired by the delicate motifs of plants and birds—could breathe.
