      Chen Baiyi (1926 - 2014) is from Shaoyang, Hunan. He graduated from Huazhong Arts College in 1946. National first-class artist, professor, well-known meticulous figure painter and enjoys the special allowance of the State Council. He was a member of the Chinese Federation of Arts, the executive director of the Chinese Association of Arts, the vice-chairman and executive chairman of the Hunan Federation of Arts, the chairman of the Hunan Association of Arts, and the president of the Hunan Academy of Calligraphy and Painting.
