This focus on the ruling classes continued decades later. By 1863, he had produced a portrait of Louis William, Duke in Bavaria. He painted Johann Andreas Schmeller and Peter Dominikus Ludwig, Prince of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg-Ludigsburg.
