This calligraphy is scribed by Abdul Rashid Delmi, a Mughal court calligrapher. The script is Nastaliq and the language Persian. It is from 18th Century AC.Abdual Rashid Dehlmi was an Iranian by birth and moved to the subcontinent during the region of Shah Jahan (r.1628-1658 AC). He was a court calligrapher of Shah Jahan. It is said that he was the calligraphy teacher of Prince Dara Shikoh.Nastaliq script is a combination of Naskh and Taliq scripts and was prroduced by Mir Ali Tabrezi. It is fully cursive and very elegant. This script quickly became very popular in Iran, Turkey, Central Asia, Afghanistan and the Indian Sub-continent.
