The Quiet Presence of Mathilde Ouellet
In the quiet corners of Canadian art history, the work of Mathilde Ouellet remains a steady, understated presence. Her life and practice are tied to the landscape of her origins, finding a place within the collections of the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec. There is a stillness in her approach, a way of observing the world that does not demand immediate attention but invites a closer look.
