The Life of Manuel Barrón y Carrillo
Born in Seville, Spain, Manuel Barrón y Carrillo was a painter who dedicated his life to his home city. He received his formal artistic training at the School of Fine Arts of Seville, studying under Antonio Cabral Bejarano. His professional career was deeply intertwined with this institution, where he served as a lecturer teaching drawing, perspective, and landscape painting, eventually becoming its director. Beyond his teaching, he was a founding member of the Liceo Artístico, an institution established to promote culture and art.
