House for two Beds
Walter Pichler’s images, objects, installations, and pieces of architecture, which turn the place of art into art itself, reflect a radical special and temporal aura. His way of working is equally impacted by ideas of the mind, such as the subconscious or memory, as well as by cultural, cultic actions. Starting point of all work is the drawing which together with the sculpture spans a subtle narrative network and addresses the unity of human being and architecture, as well as human being and machine. Thereby, Pichler observes and shapes the world: For the benefit of a presentation with reduced means he unites microcosm and macrocosm.
