Hendricks worked consistently as a photographer beginning in the mid 1960s, and while at Yale University from 1970-1972 he studied with the acclaimed photographer Walker Evans.Taken in Hendricks’ hometown of Philadelphia, “Soul Man” embodies many of the central traits of Hendricks
