Theodor Rogge was a German architect, painter, and draftsperson. Born in Rostock, Germany, he pursued his studies at the Polytechnikum München and the Münchner Kunstakademie, where he initially studied in the Antikenklasse. His professional journey included serving as a teacher at the Königlichen Industrieschule Augsburg and later as a professor at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Lisbon, a position he held after being appointed in 1889. Throughout his career, Rogge was also a prolific writer on architectural subjects, contributing essays to various journals on topics such as the Renaissance in Augsburg and the secular buildings of medieval Rostock.
