Beyond the printed page, he worked on film sets, including Paris qui dort, and designed sets and costumes for theatrical productions like La Mort de Souper and Angélique farce.
Artistic Themes and Exhibitions
Foy's work was characterized by a diverse range of subjects. In his paintings, he often focused on landscapes and still lifes, particularly featuring vases of flowers and masks. His portraits, sometimes drawn from the worlds of the cabaret and circus, could take on an expressionist quality through the use of caricature or grimace. He was an active participant in several significant Parisian art salons, including the Salon des indépendants, the Salon d'automne, and the Salon des Tuileries. Additionally, he served as an administrator for the Salon de l'Araignée and held vice-presidency roles for the Salon de l'imagerie.
