Jen Liu stands as a profound voice in contemporary American art, weaving together the disparate threads of labor, economy, and national identity into a cohesive visual narrative. Born in 1976, Liu has cultivated a practice that refuses to be confined by a single medium, instead moving fluidly between the visceral presence of performance, the temporal depth of video, and the tactile permanence of painting.
