Shōson among them – it is as Koson that he achieved lasting recognition as a master of *kachō-e*, the genre dedicated to depictions of birds and flowers. His journey began with formal studies at the Ishikawa Prefecture Technical School from 1889 to 1893, laying the foundation for his meticulous approach to design and composition.
