His early artistic journey began at the Prilidiano Pueyrredón National Fine Arts School in 1938. He later studied at the National University of the Arts. Initially, his work showed strong influence from Urugua
yan artist Joaquín Torres-García. However, Hlito soon developed a distinct style characterized by geometric abstraction and a focus on form and space.
