Early Life, Family and Training Karl Caspar was born on 13 March 1879 in Friedrichshafen, Germany. His early years were shaped by the quiet surroundings of his birthplace before he moved toward formal study. He began his training at the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart, a path that eventually led him to the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich.
