Adhering to the principles of the School of Posillipo, the artist depicts the Island of Nisida seen from Naples, and envelopes it within a landscape brimming with romantic suggestions. All the watercolors displayed in this room were probably commissioned by the king, and showcase the intimacy and singularity of the artist’s vision.
