Življenje in umetniški razvoj Andréja Massona André Masson, rojen 4. januarja 1896 v Balagny-sur-Thérainu v Franciji, je bil izjemno pomemben lik v zgodovini moderne umetnosti, predvsem pa eden vodilnih predstavnikov nadrealizma. Njegova umetniška pot se je začela že v mladosti, ko se je pri enajstih letih vpisal na Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts v Bruslju pod mentorstvo Constant Montalda.
