Antique Bronze Man & Globe Pendulum Clock
This commanding floor clock is more than a timekeeping instrument; it’s a statement piece steeped in Old World elegance. Crafted from solid brass and finished with a rich Antique Bronze patina, the clock evokes the grandeur of 17th-century American design, meticulously imitating the artistry of that era. The sculpture features a male figure holding a globe-shaped clock face adorned with classic Roman numerals, offering both functional beauty and historical resonance.
Each clock is brought to life through a detailed mechanical movement powered by winding with a key – a testament to traditional horological techniques. The base showcases intricate carvings, including a smaller globe detail, demonstrating the dedication of skilled artisans. This isn’t mass production; it's a carefully assembled piece designed to become a cherished heirloom.
The weight of the solid brass construction – over 20 kilograms – speaks volumes about its quality, while the Antique Bronze finish offers a wonderfully tactile experience. Running nearly six feet tall (350x230x750mm), this clock commands attention without being ostentatious; the 4" ball dial adds a subtle touch of intrigue as it swings continuously. Its substantial size makes it ideal for entryways, living rooms, or libraries.
This clock is designed to be a focal point in your home. While primarily intended for display on a stable surface, its robust build ensures lasting stability. To maintain the luster of the Antique Bronze finish, dust regularly with a soft cloth; avoid abrasive cleaners or polishes. Please note that as each clock is made to order, production typically requires 30-50 days, and shipping is arranged via sea freight for optimal safety.
