Bernardo Bellotto, um renomado pintor italiano, nasceu em Veneza por volta de 1721/2 ou em 30 de janeiro de 1721. Ele foi sobrinho e pupilo do famoso Giovanni Antonio Canaletto, uma figura proeminente na escola veneziana de pintura.
