Early Life and Training Benozzo Gozzoli (b. ca. 1420, Firenze, Italy—died Oct. 4, 1497, Pistoia) was an italian renaissance painter from florence, best known for his series of murals in the palazzo medici-riccardi, depicting festive, vibrant processions with fine attention to detail and a pronounced international gothic influence.
