Kies een stemming en de kamer zelf antwoordt — het licht koelt of warmt op, de sfeer verandert van tempo, en alleen de werken die dat gevoel belichamen, treden naar voren uit de duisternis. De rest verdwijnt in de schaduw.

Federico Moja

Early Life, Family and Training Federico Moja was born in Milan on October 20, 1802. He grew up within a family of artists, a setting that likely shaped his early understanding of visual form. By 1818, he had entered the Brera Academy of Fine Arts to begin his formal studies. It was here that he became a pupil of Giovanni Migliara, learning the technical foundations of his craft under his mentor's guidance. His early output focused on

the geometry of space and the quietude of enclosed areas. He spent much of his time working on perspective urban views and the stillness of monastery interiors. These subjects required a steady hand and a careful eye for how light settles within a structured environment. His work from this period shows a commitment to the strict teachings of his teacher, focusing on the way buildings and halls occupy space.Venetian Engagement and Acade…
