early life and education dōmoto hisao, a renowned japanese artist, was born on march 2, 1928, in kyoto, japan. he came from a family of esteemed painters, with his father being a collector of traditional japanese ceramics and calligraphy. hisao studied painting at kyoto city university of arts and later accompanied his uncle, insho domoto, on a trip to europe in 1952. artistic career hisao's artistic style was characterized by the yō-ga
