Janas Mateika
Ankstyvas gyvenimas ir ugdymas Jan Alojzy Matejko, garsus lenkų tapytojas, gimė 1838 m. birželio 24 d. Krokuvoje. Jo tėvas, Franciszek Ksawery Matejko, buvo čekiškos kilmės namų mokytojas ir muzikos pedagogas. Jano jaunystę ženklino 1846 metų Krokuvos revoliucija ir 1848 metų austrų apgulimas, įvykiai, kurie vėliau turėjo didelį poveikį jo kūrybiniams motyvams.
