Simone MartiniSimonė Martinis (it. Simone Martini; apie 1284–1344) – XIV a. italų protorenesanso dailininkas iš Sienos, gotikinio stiliaus atstovas. BiografijaManoma, kad Simonė Martinis gimė Sienoje 1280–1285 m. laikotarpyje. Apie jo jaunystės metus nežinoma nieko. Tik 1316 m. freska „Maesta“ Palazzo Pubblico rūmuose (to meto Sienos miesto vyriausybės rūmai) yra datuota ir jo paties pasirašyta. Manoma, kad tuo metu Simonė jau buvo žinomas dailininkas, kitaip nebūtų gavęs prestižinio užsakovo. Dž. Vazaris po 200 metų parašytoje biografijoje tikina, kad Simonė buvo Džoto mokiniu, tačiau šiuola…
