The Life and Art of Giovanni Antonio Burrini Giovanni Antonio Burrini was a Bolognese painter of the Late-Baroque or Rococo style. Following an apprenticeship with Domenico Maria Canuti, he studied under Lorenzo Pasinelli alongside fellow student Giovanni Gioseffo dal Sole. He shared a studio and became a close collaborator with Giuseppe Maria Crespi. Supported by his patron, Giulio Cesare Venenti, Burrini traveled to Venice around 1672, where he studied the works of Titian and Paolo Veronese.
