Born in London amidst relative obscurity – his father’s name and occupation shrouded in mystery – Wallis’s artistic journey was one shaped by rigorous training, a deep fascination with detail, and an uncanny ability to capture the essence of both romanticism and urban life. He wasn't merely a painter; he was a collector, a writer, and a keen observer of his time, weaving together elements of history, literature, and personal experience into works that continue to resonate today.
