His later career saw a shift toward new forms of expression, including the creation of "Legenden" and "Verkehrslandschaften," which utilized a visual language derived from cartography and traffic signs, a style referred to as "Semantische Kunst." From 1966, he also focused on sculpture and spatial arrangements.
