A Life Painted in Light and Color Born in Singapore on 11 November 1943, Ang Ah Tee has emerged as a veteran figure in the Singaporean art scene, a painter whose prolific output reflects a lifelong devotion to the canvas. His journey into the world of fine arts began with a childhood curiosity that led him to attend afternoon art classes alongside his formal education. This early passion eventually brought him to the prestigious Nanyan
g Academy of Fine Arts, where he studied from 1960 to 1962. During these formative years, he was mentored by luminaries such as Georgette Chen and Cheong Soo Pieng, both of whom were pioneers of the celebrated Nanyang Style.
