Born in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, in 1978, Houston Maludi’s artistic journey is inextricably linked to his homeland and its vibrant, complex identity. This early practice laid the foundation for his distinctive style, ‘Monochromique Cubisme Symbiotique Quantique,’ a term he himself coined to describe his unique approach to abstraction.

Maludi’s formal training began at the Fine Arts Academy of Kinshasa in 1993. He graduated in 1997 specializing in painting, a period during which he embarked on years of rigorous research and experimentation, meticulously honing his artistic vision. This dedication culminated in 2008 with the creation of his signature style – a deliberate fusion of Cubist principles with a deeply personal exploration of form, color, and the dynamic energy of life itself.
