Mu Pan（1976 –）

Mu Pan: Large-scale epic paintings explore profound themes through a unique Chinese American lens. Discover his captivating art now!

Life experiences have left their mark on much of the work of Mu Pan (Taichung City, Taiwan, 1976), and Locusts refers to traumatic moments from his childhood. Monkeys play a key role in Mu Pan’s work. For him, monkeys represent human nature in its rawest form, without filters. The Asian-American artist Mu Pan has made mixing cultures his personal brand. His works present multiple narrative layers, personal reflections on human behaviour where humour and violence often come together.
