Primi Anni e Formazione Odilon Redon (nato Bertrand-Jean Redon) nacque il 20 aprile 1840 a Bordeaux, in Aquitania, da una famiglia benestante. Il padre accumulò una fortuna nel commercio di schiavi in Louisiana negli anni '30 del XIX secolo. La madre, Marie Guérin, era una donna creola francese.
